Unit Overview:
256 Field Hospital is the only military hospital based in London and the South East. During peacetime, the Unit is split into four squadrons at Walworth, Kensington, Kingston, and Mile End. All Squadrons take part in military and medical training, coming together on weekend exercises and at Annual Camp. In the event of national mobilisation and military formation, the entire Unit provides a fill compliment of hospital staff who train in preparation to receive, treat, hold and evacuate casualties.
We are based in London but are recruiting from most of the South-East of England. We are looking for a wide variety of personnel, including health care professionals (and people in training), administrative staff and support staff (chefs, drivers, electricians, mechanics, pharmacy technicians, plumbers, carpenters, medical and general stores specialists).
We can offer high quality training and operational experience to motivated and enthusiastic volunteers (and pay you for doing it!)
Parade Times: Tuesday, 7.30pm to 9.30pm
